By On the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord (which just concluded March 25th), we celebrated the Word Made Flesh, and we once again could hear the Fiat of Our Lady’s answer to the angel echoed from the hills of Medjugorje.
Now that Our Lady has told Mirjana she will no longer be appearing on the 2nd of each month, these Messages from Medjugorje on the 25th of each month are becoming all the more precious to us.
Here is the message for March 25, 2020 from Our Lady, Queen of Peace!
“Dear children! I am with you all these years to lead you to the way of salvation. Return to my Son; return to prayer and fasting. Little children, permit for God to speak to your heart, because Satan is reigning and wants to destroy your lives and the earth on which you walk. Be courageous and decide for holiness. You will see conversion in your hearts and families; prayer will be heard; God will hear your cries and give you peace. I am with you and am blessing you all with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Her message is a message of commitment to “permit God to speak to your heart,” as He did to hers that glorious day the angel appeared to her.
In this time of unrest, when the world has slowed down to face a viral threat, Our Lady once again implores us to “return to her Son.” She has always been pointing the way to Jesus, even since the moment of her Annunciation.
And how do we return to Jesus?
We pray and we fast.
“Because Satan is reigning and wants to destroy your lives and the earth on which you walk. Be courageous and decide for holiness.” Our Lady knows better than anyone that it is only through prayer and fasting that we can “decide for holiness.”
Prayer brings us to a place of humility before God, where on our knees, we are able to “listen to what He is saying.”
While fasting, gives us power to reign over our senses and overcome every temptation of the devil, just as Jesus did in the desert.
It’s through our courage to be holy that we will see conversion in our hearts and the hearts of our families will be transformed with ours. Our Lady assures us that by our decision for holiness through prayer and fasting, God will hear your cries and give you peace.
How can she know God will give us peace?
Because it was by her own commitment to holiness through the prayer of her Fiat and the fasting of her virginity that the King of Peace was given to her to birth into the world for all of us to receive.
May we be as courageous as Our Lady Queen of Peace in these times of unrest and decide for holiness, no matter the cost.
