Holy Thursday brought these two smiling to bear the light and cross. How much joy there is now in the celebration of the Holy Triduum. It begs the question of how well we live up to the joy of the Resurrection. If we knew what was to come would we bear the light and burden of the cross with the same joy? If our suffering lacks joy, is it really suffering? Christ revealed his true nature when he washed the feet of all 11 of his betrayers. Only 1 pair of feet would find their way to stand by him at the cross and yet he still washed them all, even though not all of them were clean. If we knew what is to come, would we be so tender to those who walk away from us? One thing I know, blessed are the feet of those who find the courage to walk with Jesus. May this Holy Triduum of Easter find you joyful in the knowledge that on the other side of these next Three Days of Darkness we do know what is to come, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, Jesus!
