THE FOUNDATION YEARS QUIZ

Become rooted enough that life can flow through you again.

Modern mothers feel depleted, dried out, fragmented, left out, guilty, inflamed, disconnected from the body, chronically stressed, overstimulated, emotionally exhausted, cut off from ENOUGH beauty, silence, nature, and embodied rest to go on. And, the instant info available everywhere seems contradicting how to resolve it.

At the same time nervous system science is trying to catch up to the Christian spiritual heritage of the ages that held a healthy rhythm of life. Microbiome inheritance was unseen through centuries yet it was more predictable. Attachment was intuitively taught by the older generation. Breastfeeding was a skill handed down and intergenerational healing could happen in the most unexpected times and spaces due to natural ways of handing the practices that were actually tried and true, not a fad of the last decade. No, it wasn’t glamorous and being sentimental about it is not where this is going.

God created women with a particular capacity for nourishment, relational wisdom, embodied presence, receptivity to life, fostering growth in others, leading with a feminine gifts not restrained by cultural restrictions. St. Hildegard understood this and she understood women suffering very well. She knew what it meant to carry heaviness, responsibility, misunderstanding, and physical weakness. Yet she believed grace could still create beauty and radiance within a person without erasing their wounds.

She also knew that your child does not first learn safety through information but through your nervous system, your tone, your rhythms, your presence, your peace, your gaze, your touch. That as a jewel reflects light, mothers reflect atmosphere with a Life-giving strength. She practiced another vision of womanhood: not productivity without limits, constant self-optimization, emotional numbness disguised as strength. She reinvented womanhood and motherhood as radiant.

Body. Soul. Mind. Relationships. Home. Rhythm. Prayer. Movement. Food. Rest. Joy. When these begin to come back into harmony, women often rediscover something modern culture almost made them forget: that they were created not merely to function, but to radiate life.
