October 2, 2019 Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje on the 3rd Day of Awe

Dear children, the will and the love of the Heavenly Father make it so that I am among you, that I, with a motherly love, may help the growth of faith in your heart, for you to be able to truly comprehend the purpose of earthly life and the greatness of the heavenly one.

My children, the earthly life is the way to eternity, to truth, and to life-to my Son. I desire to lead you on that way. You, my children-you who always thirst for more love, truth, and faith-need to know that there is only one spring from which you can drink. It is trust in the Heavenly Father; it is trust in His love.

Abandon yourselves completely to His will and do not be afraid. Everything that is best for you, everything that leads you to eternal life, will be given to you. You will comprehend that the purpose of life is not always to want and take, but to love and give. You will have true peace and true love. You will be apostles of love.

By your example, you will make it so that my children who do not know my Son and His love may desire to come to know Him. My children, apostles of my love, adore my Son with me and love Him above all. Always strive to live in His truth. Thank you.

During the 10 Days of Awe, the days between the Feast of Trumpets known as “Rosh Hashanah” and the Day of Atonement called “Yom Kippur” the Lord invites us to prepare our hearts to receive Him most fully and to save ourselves from His final Judgement.

We know that even Jesus did not come first to judge the world (John 12:47) but to save it from the powers of darkness (Col. 1:13). And we know that one day soon, Our Messiah will return. That day is known as the Lord’s Day (Rev. 1:10). It is a Day when Final Judgement shall be made upon the earth and every living soul that is written in the Book of Life shall rest with Jesus for eternity while every soul which has been blotted out of the Book of Life will spend their eternity in Hell with the fallen angels and Satan himself (Rev. 20:15; Dan. 12:1; Phil. 4:3; Rev. 3:5; Ps. 56:8, 69:27-28, 139:16). I cannot imagine any soul choosing such a dwelling place but it is true that some souls are so hardened against Our Lord and his Heavenly Kingdom that their own stubbornness will condemn them to live in such darkness apart from Jesus for the rest of their lives. I believe this is why Our Lord has graced humanity with the presence of His Mother here in Medjugorje during this last Age (Luke 1:50-53; Eph. 2:7). So that we might have a chance to soften our hearts for that final Day when He does return and it will be too late to repent and receive His love.

It takes experiences of faith to help thaw a hardened heart. Experiences we will no longer have the opportunity to partake in when the Lord’s Day truly comes. This is why her message is so loving and yet so poignant as only a Mother could deliver:

“Abandon yourselves completely to His will and do not be afraid. Everything that is best for you, everything that leads you to eternal life, will be given to you.”

She can say such things because she not only knows it is true but has experienced them herself.

“You will comprehend that the purpose of life is not always to want and take, but to love and give. You will have true peace and true love. You will be apostles of love.”

She knows the answer to our deepest desire to be loved and to be known. And she knows only her Son has those answers and we can only receive them when we choose to follow His ways. She wants to help us grow in faith so that we can live Christ’s heavenly reality here on earth.

Dear children, the will and the love of the Heavenly Father make it so that I am among you, that I, with a motherly love, may help the growth of faith in your heart, for you to be able to truly comprehend the purpose of earthly life and the greatness of the heavenly one… there is only one spring from which you can drink.

These Days of Awe are not to be forgotten. Like the high-Holy Lenten feast of the New Testament Church in which we prepare to unite our hearts to Christ’s suffering on the cross in hope of his triumphant resurrection and ascension, Our Father in Heaven has been preparing His children for repentance and the Day of Judgement since the days of Old. Today, it matters not whether you follow the Jewish or Christian traditions it matters only that you follow the ways of Our Messiah and commit your heart to drinking from his spring alone. It won’t matter if He returns to us on Rosh Hashanah or Easter, whichever day He chooses will be the Lord’s Day. What will matter is the condition of our hearts when that day comes. A grace Our Blessed Mother has reminded us repeatedly from Medjugorje that will not be available to those who have not yet experienced true conversion.

“Pray for unbelievers. People will tear their hair, brothers will plead with brothers, they will curse their past lives lived without God. They will repent, but it will be too late. Now is the time for conversion…” Our Lady’s Message August 15,1985

These days are a reminder to us that salvation comes through grace for repentance. A grace we must learn to live in experientially as though it is a living reality to us like breathing air. For its is by this Grace that we are able to humble ourselves and turn back from the ways of foolishness we often find ourselves in and turn instead toward the ways of God. We must learn to live in this Grace continually. It is not a one-time outpouring but a continual current of supply offered to us through the Holy Spirit each and every moment of our lives. Just as the body needs water to survive, our souls need to be replenished by Grace. Like the Manna in the desert, Christ offers us this Grace every morning “like the dewfall” through himself, by the power of the Holy Spirit, as the Living Manna on earth in the Eucharist in the celebration of the Mass, which is offered to us daily. And He offers us this Grace, again by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the sacraments of Church life at our baptism, confirmation in the Spirit, vocational callings whether marital, priestly or celibate, and as often as we need through healing of the sick and reconciliation through repentance. We receive an impartation of this Grace through the Holy Spirit also in our times of prayer and worship and sharing of our testimonies with each other. The Holy Spirit is the Current of Grace by which we receive Jesus’s power in this life. Learning to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and recognize His movements is a necessary reality for all Believers who hope to remain in that state of Grace which will save them on the Lord’s Day. This is what Our Blessed Mother offers to us in this Age of Mercy and what the Church means when it says “she is our Mother in the order of grace” CCC966, by the will of the Father, she extends to us that current of Grace, which is the Holy Spirit, her spouse who overshadowed her and in His current conceived of the Lord who is the Savior of the world. If there is anyone who can help us stay continually in the Holy Spirit and relate to the experiential reality of Jesus’ power in the earth it’s her.

My children, the earthly life is the way to eternity, to truth, and to life-to my Son. I desire to lead you on that way.

The life of Christ is seen by our example as Apostles of His Love through the every day actions of our hearts and the every day life of His Church. What a Grace it is that He now also imparts it to us through the words of His Mother who encourages us to live these truths daily for the salvation of the world and especially those we love most dearly. She is a reminder to us today that Grace is something to be seen and experienced right now in this present moment, a heavenly reality on earth.

“By your example, you will make it so that my children who do not know my Son and His love may desire to come to know Him. My children, apostles of my love, adore my Son with me and love Him above all. Always strive to live in His truth.”

We cannot escape His love for us. We are the hope of His glory that the world might know Him and choose to live forever with Him. We are His Apostles of Love.
