Our Lady’s Prophetic Message from Medjugorje Nov. 25, 2019 has me pausing to ponder this particular line, “In the eyes, little children, peacelessness is seen…”
How often do we take a moment when speaking with others to really look into their eyes?
Do we ponder the spirit behind them? Can we see if they are at peace? So many are restless, as Our Lady says, “because you have not permitted Jesus to be born in your lives.”
What does that mean? What does that look like?
To be born again of Spirit and Water is to be infused with life and vitality for love and mercy. When we interact with other souls, are we showing them the Spirit behind our own eyes is also the Life Giving Water they can drink from and never thirst again? Do we take the time to offer them a drink? Or are we too focused on ourselves and our own wants and desires to notice our brother is drowning.
Our Lady says, “The world is at war because hearts are full of hatred and jealousy. In the eyes, little children, peacelessness is seen because you have not permitted Jesus to be born in your lives.”
It’s something beautiful to ponder as we gather this week around tables with friends and family to give thanks and gratitude for what we possess on account of God’s Grace in our own lives. May we be courageous enough to look across the table into the eyes of those who surround us and truly SEE them. May our hearts have nothing but mercy to extend them a drink from the living well, which settles all hearts from fear and anxiety, jealousy and hatred.
🙏🏼 Lord, give us your eyes to see. Let them rest upon you until our hearts become fully rested in you. Jesus, we trust in you!
“A noble and delicate soul, even the most simple, but one of delicate sensibilities, sees God in everything, finds Him everywhere, and knows how to find Him in even the most hidden things. It finds all things important, it highly appreciates all things, it thanks God for all things, it draws profit for the soul from all things, and it gives all glory to God. It places its trust in God and is not confused when the time of ordeals comes. It knows that God is always the best of Fathers and makes little of human opinion. It follows faithfully the faintest breath of the Holy Spirit; it rejoices in this Spiritual Guest and Holds onto Him like a child to its mother. Where other souls come to a standstill and fear, this soul passes on without fear or difficulty.” Diary, 148
