Don’t let your Ego get in the way of God’s Next

The journey of faith has always been a test of Mercy. Like Jonah, we are given only enough to see what is necessary for us to go only so far. The rest of our journey only God alone can see. Therefore, we must choose as Jonah did to know and obey anyway and to receive mercy despite our lack of mercy. In other words, How much do you desire to be right or do you desire to be with God more? This desire for more of God is what moves us to lay aside our Ego in exchange for what God has for us in the Next. How long will you sulk under the vine before realizing it’s God’s mercy that comforts you even there. Get up and move into God’s Next for you!

“An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So [Jesus] left them and departed.” Matthew 16:4

God’s heart is mercy and compassion.

God’s Mercy saved Jonah from his disobedience and he was delivered from death by the mouth of a whale.

God’s Mercy covered Jonah by the shade of a vine leaf when he sought to end his own life. God’s Mercy called him to live again.

His sign is Christ’s MERCY, which he gave by the way of the cross.

LET US RECEIVE HIS MERCY AND TAKE IT WITH US INTO GOD’S NEXT.

God is a God of Second Chances.

“Oh My Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.”
