“Moon Talk with Jesus”
When was the last time you just sat with Him? The Maker of the stars? I mean just sat and let conversation flow. No pretense, no verses, just delighted in His Presence. Do you believe Jesus can talk to you anytime you’re willing to listen?
Tonight I sat under the stars and laughed after I took this picture. Not because it was funny but because I realized how something so simple, even silly to those walking by, God used to speak something so profoundly to my heart. And He did it in such a way that I’ll never forget this night. And it came as quickly as Point-Pose-Tap.
A cute picture needs a cute verse. If only we could spend every moment of life neatly written up and summarized in a scripture. Or maybe we can?
This night I took my camera phone out at the beach and, during the process of getting the perfect pose, I heard the Lord speaking about little things like degrees of Light – “Only 6 more minutes until it changes” – and I heard Him laugh at the several silly faces I made before I heard “Look up and to the right! There! that’s it!” Working with God was so simple, and so fun.
I started to feel a bit guilty now the Light was gone and I’d nearly spent all my time I’d blocked out for He and I to chat taking pictures of my self. I was on the verge of reprimanding myself when I heard His whisper “the Lesser Light. Look it up.”
And there it was at the fingertips of Google, a most profound treasure, hidden here, between us, and I’d almost missed it all.
It doesn’t take a theologian to tell you of whom the scriptures speak regarding the greater and the lesser Lights, what struck me was what came after. There to rule in the sky is not just the sun and moon – but the Stars!
You and I are the stars.
And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. – Daniel 12:3
It doesn’t matter what you are doing, where you are, or whom you are with, God can speak to you anywhere. His lessons are in the setting degrees of the sun, even written in the Stars, and He’ll find you in the desires of your own heart. So, take heart. Take pics on the beach. Take care to listen. And Shine Bright dear friend, “Light up the sky, Day and Night!”
